The "Fire Department" came in and shut down this old
"Gibraltar" for safety concerns.
It's time to upgrade this bad boy to "Navien" modern day technology.

The Fire Dept. responded to a fire call on
this unit and determined it was best to shut it down for good.
I totally agree with that.
The "Ole'
Gibralter" has seen its day.
The
owner of this house decided to upgrade to some modern day technology for the sake of efficiency, safety and
to also gain some valuable basement space. With that in mind, the Navien Combi-unit seemed
to make the most sense.
It is a modulating-condensating boiler which also produces domestic hot water. These features provide energy efficiency
and the elimination of a hot water tank to decrease the size of the heating system foot print. Everything mounted up on
the wall which
opened up some more floor space.
We
left access to the chimney base and clean out door just for "grins and giggles" ---- you never know!
