Typical Tudor style esthetics

This historic Forest Hills Gardens luxury home is now completing a major upgrade renovation to
modern day living while maintaining the classic Tudor style look of the 100 year old community.

The house was originally designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr.
(son of Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted) and has now been renovated with architect
Jerold Buck and award winning designer Danielle Wallinger.

The original system was a basic hot water system which was "State of the art" in its heyday.

Part of the new system design was to maintain some historic nostalgia and Tudor esthetics by
utilizing the original under window convectors on the second and third floor bedrooms.
Radiant floors were installed in all the bathrooms to provide floor warming and the comfort of
radiant space heating. A Kohler "Tropical Rain Forest Experience" showering system was installed
in the master bathroom for modern day bathing. Luxury towel warmers will also be installed to
provide a touch of luxury living. To accomodate a first floor interior design plan, under floor
staple up radiant plates were installed below the entire first floor to obtain the desired esthetics.

A TurboMax indirect hot water tank was installed to provide for domestic hot water requirements.

"Cutting edge" Tekmar controls will manage outdoor reset boiler temperature for the convectors
and also manage the two mixed water temperatures required for high and low mass radiant floors.
The Tekmar control system is the perfect recipe for comfort, convenience and energy savings in
this type of system renovation.
